Beni Suef University Council approves holding a series of seminars and practical training at the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants

Beni Suef University Council, headed by Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University, in its 233rd session, approved the proposal of the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants regarding holding a series of scientific seminars and practical training at the Institute, which are represented in the uses of tissue culture in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants, after the end of post graduate studies exams. This was in the presence of the university’s vice presidents, college deans, and council members.

The university president explained the importance of holding such scientific seminars and practical training, because they have a major role in raising the level of scientific awareness of students and researchers, and providing them with practical experiences and skills that help them in the fields of scientific research.
The most important topics of these theoretical lectures and practical applications are summarized in the multiplication of medicinal and aromatic plants using mini-cultivation of plant tissues, strategies for increasing yields to produce secondary effects in plant cell culture, factors affecting the production of pharmaceutical compounds using bioreactors, and genetic engineering of medicinal and aromatic plants using plant tissue.
