Research Abstract

the channels used to share knowledge - the reality of sharing knowledge attitudes toward sharing knowledge – motives behind Knowledge Sharing - the expected results of sharing knowledge – the role of belonging to the association in sharing knowledge – the role of organizational environment role in sharing knowledge - the role of Information Technology in sharing knowledge – the obstacles facing sharing knowledge - the effect of personal and functional features on sharing knowledge. The Field Survey method has been used. A questionnaire was designed to collect data which was statistically analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), Of the study results, it has been proved that the Boards Members of the NGOs of Beni Suef governorate have significantly shared seven types (out of eleven) of knowledge, and that the direct (face-to-face) and telephone conversations topped the list of channels used in sharing knowledge by the members, to be within the category "used too much"; while e-mail – electronic conversations (chatting or messenger) - social networking tools (Facebook or Twitter) came low estimated in the category "used less." For the reality of "Sharing Knowledge", the overall average was (2.16) within the category "medium". The Study has shown that respondents' attitudes towards the process of Sharing Knowledge are high and positive. It has been proven that all members' estimations of the motives came within the category "high" with the exception of this phrase (I share my knowledge for financial rewards), since it was appreciated within the category "low" . The study has also proved the presence of the effect of personal and functional features on sharing knowledge; it has found a link between (gender, age, level of education and status within the Boards and the headquarters of the NGOs and the reality of sharing knowledge among the Members, as shown in Chi Square values and the degrees of significance.
