Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the General Administration of Youth Welfare organized a symposium entitled "The university has a sport" to discuss the new amendments in the football law and to reject sports fanaticism, in the presence of Dr. Assem Salama, deputy governor of Beni Suef Dr. Gamal Mohamed Ali, Vice-President of the Egyptian Football Federation, Captain Gamal El-Ghandour, Chairman of the Referees Committee, Captain Tony Othman, Captain Mohamed Farouk, Captain Yasser Abdel Raouf, Captain Tamer Dre, Captain Wagih Ahmed, Captain Azab Hajjaj, members of the main referees committee, and Mohamed Sadek the journalist in Akhbar Al-Youm.
Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, during the symposium, launched an initiative to launch an academy, the first of its kind in Egyptian universities, to prepare football referees, through a cooperation protocol between Beni Suef University, the Egyptian Football Federation and the Referees Committee, in which all interested in arbitration will participate in it
He called on youth and all Egyptian masses to adopt a culture of sportsmanship, reject all forms of intolerance and spread a culture of respect to deepen the unity of society, apply the real meanings of sports competition, and accept criticism and listen to the views of others the president of the university stressed the need to be cautious about the exploitation of some of their sports affiliation to create sporting strife that will result in human and material damage inside Egyptian clubs and stadiums he pointed out that the aim of the symposium is to raise awareness among university youth not to obey the destructive ideas.
for his part, Dr. / Jamal Mohammed spoke about all cases of sports intolerance within the stadiums of the world and Egypt, which resulted in the death and injury of many fans, and stressed the increase in the proportion of referees allowances and prevent the recruitment of foreign referees except some games
Captain Jamal Al-Ghandour expressed his delight at the meeting, praised the level of organization and reception, and reviewed all the new amendments in the football law 2020
It is worth mentioning that at the end of the meeting, the President of the University honored the guests and gave them the shield of the University. He also honored the students who won the first place in the itinerant in the Egyptian universities.
