President of Beni-Suef University during the activities of the Egyptian-Indonesian Cultural Day: We seek for academic and scientific cooperation between the two countries.
Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan received the Ambassador of Indonesia / Helmy Fawzy and his accompanying delegation, Chancellor / Hani Abdel Gaber, Governor of Beni-Suef, Mr. Mohamed Mamdouh, Chairman of the Egyptian Youth Council, as part of the celebration of the Egyptian-Indonesian Cultural Day at Beni Suef University, in the presence of a number of leading and executive figures in the governorate, faculty members and students.
During his speech, the university president stressed the deep ties between the people of Egypt and Indonesia, which are rooted in history, as Egypt was and remains an arena for the convergence of cultures and the exchange of arts and creativity, stressing the university's keenness to establish academic cooperation between the two countries, especially since the university is the largest of its kind at the level of Egyptian universities in terms of the number of faculties. It also has a group of unique colleges in the Middle East, and it was ranked first in 'Times' classification of the last year and the first place with the participation of four other universities this year.
Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan expressed his hope to establish a group of factories in the field of medicinal and aromatic plants on the land of Beni Suef in the framework of joint cooperation between the university, the governorate and the Indonesian embassy, ??especially as the university has a specialized institute in this field and the province has a competitive advantage in the same field.
It is worth mentioning that the University President donated the University Shield to the Indonesian Ambassador. The ceremony also witnessed a series of Egyptian and Indonesian artistic performances aimed at introducing the cultures of the two peoples as well as strengthening mutual relations.
