Nomination of Beni Suef University for membership of the Union of African Universities
Prof. Dr. Mansoor Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced the candidacy of Beni Suef University for the membership of the African Universities Union, and the beginning of its inclusion in all agreements and projects with high funding and attracting students from Africa. This came during his chairmanship of the University Council No. 167 held on 23 January, in the presence of Vice-Presidents of University, Deans of faculties and members of the Council.
The University President said that the Office of International Cooperation at the University held several meetings with a number of university leaders at Al-Azhar University as the representative of the North African region in the Union of African Universities to initiate partnerships and agreements with African universities through which students and faculty members are exchanged. In addition, the University has a privileged position on the map of the reception of African international students.
The university president added that it was agreed that the university will participate in the international conference of the Union of African Universities to discuss the strategic plans for higher education of the AU 2063 agenda.
