A student at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Beni-Suef presented a scientific presentation on the treatment of cancer cells using cold virus and got the first place in the competition of fame laboratory.

Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy, President of Beni-Suef University, announced that Jihad Khaled Sayed, student at the fifth grade, Faculty of Pharmacy got the first place at university level in the competition of Fame Lab organized by the British Council and the Academy of Scientific Research in cooperation with the Office of International Cooperation and External Relations. For the second year in a row.
University president explained that the student presented a simple scientific presentation to treat cancer cells using the cold virus or what is known as "delta 24", that the virus targets cancer cells only inside the body without harming healthy cells.
He also assured that the university is witnessing remarkable development in all scientific fields locally and internationally, especially in the field of graduate studies and scientific research and the university has a constellation of distinguished faculty members and students in the field of scientific research. The University has been keen to sponsor and host the competition of the laboratory of fame in order to encourage young researchers to find a way to express themselves and communicate with public people in an interactive and competitive manner and raising their level of awareness.
Dr. / Eman Gad Kandil, Executive Director of the Unit of International Cooperation and External Relations of the University, said that student / Jihad Khaled Sayed got first place among 44 university students in the competition of the Laboratory of Fame, which was held on 12 March, and she will reach the final competition at the level of Egyptian universities participating in the British Cultural Center in Cairo on the 22 April
