Under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Anti-Violence Unit at the university, in cooperation with the National Council for Women, organized an interactive training to build the capacities of the unit members and faculty members coordinating the unit in the university's faculties, with the aim of developing the members' skills to implement the competencies of the Anti-Violence Unit at the university , activating its role in supporting women and girls and all university members on campus , activating partnerships to ensure the effectiveness of the unit's work and the ability to excel in performance. This came under the supervision of Dr. Ghada Atef, Director of the Unit at the University, Dr. Jumana Ramadan, Executive Member of the Unit, Dr. Shaimaa Naeem, General Manager of the General Administration of Strategy at the National Council for Women, and Ms. Narmin Mahmoud, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women in Beni Suef. The training included Dr. Ghada Toson, Director of the Anti-Violence Unit at Beni Suef Technological University, members of the unit, Dr. Najah Al-Talawi, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women in Minya Governorate, and members of the Anti-Violence Unit at Minya University.
During the training, a detailed explanation was provided of the role of the Anti-Violence Unit within the university in spreading awareness, and the importance of having support units within universities, as an important support channel for students, with a focus on the psychological support provided by the units to female students, what is the role of the unit in receiving complaints , providing solutions and full support to students. The basic concepts of violence against women and empowerment and the axes of the National Strategy for the Empowerment of Egyptian Women 2030 were also introduced, focusing on the protection axis, the axes of the strategy to combat violence against women, the results of the economic study on violence against women launched by the National Council for Women in cooperation with the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the nature of the work of the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit and its mechanism of work within the university, and the role of the unit in developing the external community , receiving complaints and dealing with them with complete confidentiality.
