Today, Beni Suef University, under the auspices of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, organized a symposium entitled Citizenship and the Strategic Dimension of the Power of Diversity, in cooperation with the Strategic Forum for Development and Social Peace Association, and under the supervision of Dr. Sameh El-Maraghi Vice President of the University for Community Service Affairs and Environmental Development, within the framework of the awareness initiative for community development under the slogan "With awareness, Egypt is changing for the better," in the presence of Dr. Hanan Suleiman, Member of the Senate, Dr. Alaa Ahmed Ibrahim, Head of the Strategic Forum for Development and Social Peace, and Dr. Samia Abu Al-Nasr, Editor-in-Chief Al-Ahram, Mrs./ Amal Azouz, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Solidarity in Beni Suef Governorate, Dr. Medhat Abu Al-Nasr, Professor at the Faculty of Social Work, Helwan University, Dr. Mona Zaki, Professor of Strategic Thought, and Dr. Walaa Hassan, Coordinator of the Initiative to Promote Citizenship Values and Practices at the Ministry of Solidarity Engineer Sami Armia, Director of the General Authority of Christian youth, Dr. Mustafa Abdel-Warith, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Wafd Newspaper, a number of representatives of the Egyptian Family House, and a group of journalists, media professionals, faculty members and students
Dr. Mansour Hassan praised the role played by the Ministry of Social Solidarity in caring for the various social classes and launching many initiatives to create a state of awareness of the importance of citizenship among the various sects of the Egyptian people, in implementation of the visions and directions adopted by the new republic under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Citizenship is not just A slogan or a political term only, but it must be given a social and economic character through equality among citizens without discrimination in color, sex or religion Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi stressed that citizenship represents the relationship between the individual and the state and is based on protecting the freedom and rights of the individual which recognized by the constitution without discrimination and equality between individuals while respecting the difference between them, and coexistence with it to achieve the concept of citizenship in its optimal form, and solidarity through the assistance of members of one state to each other and solidarity Dr. Alaa Ahmed Ibrahim, Head of the Strategic Forum for Development, added that Egypt adopts citizenship that supports diversity, which leads to real enrichment and the creation of true citizenship by activating the role of educational institutions such as schools and universities because they represent the beginning of forming sound thinking among young people, as well as the role of art and media in achieving diversity and acceptance.
