Beni Suef University advances 54 ranks from last year in the Spanish Scimago classification

Today, Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the university has advanced 54 ranks compared to last year in the Spanish Scimago classification for the year 2022, thus occupying the 653rd place globally, and the 393rd place globally in the rate of creativity and is considered a distinguished center for the last 10 years.
Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan emphasized that the university's progress in international rankings is a result of the university's policy to encourage scientific research and build the capacities of young researchers, as well as reflecting the university's special attention to scientific research by providing a distinct educational and research environment to achieve the desired progress at the Arab and international levels, and support the university's competitive capabilities among similar universities.
The University President confirmed that the Scimago classification is based on several axes and indicators that reflect the research, societal and economic arrangement, according to a composite index that combines three different indicators based on research performance (50%), innovation output (30%) and societal impact. The results of the classification showed the emergence of Beni Suef University in 15 majors, in addition to the university's superiority over last year's classification in some science.
Dr. Sama Al-Daq, Director of the Office of International Classification and Sustainable Development, added that the university kept the first place locally in Mathematical Science, and advanced in Veterinary locally, regionally, and internationally, and achieved seventh place in (Economics, Econometrics and Finance) and eighth place in (Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Pharmaceutics) and in the field of Computer Science, it ranked tenth and 11th in Egypt, in biochemistry (Chemistry, genetics and molecular biology), 11th in Medical Science, 12th in Agricultural and Biological Science, and 15th in (Management, Commerce and Accounting) and 16th in Earth science. , physics and astronomy and 20th place in Engineering science and 21st in Egypt in Energy Science.
