Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that university hospitals have become completely dependent on the oxygen generating station after the trial operation period, which contributes to rationalizing financial spending, as well as providing the highest levels of safety by avoiding storage risks and worker errors.
Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the station works to produce and provide medical oxygen to meet the needs of all hospitals and units affiliated to the university and ensuring its continuity throughout the day, as it depends on the surrounding air and not an external source, pointing out that the station directly helps to avoid the severe danger of relying on a source of supply outside hospital's direct control.
For his part, Dr. Wael Saqr, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, confirmed that the station produces more than 120 m² per hour, and helps in rationalization, as the cost of supplying oxygen gas is constantly increasing, especially in times of crisis, pointing out that the station has an independent building on an area of ??80 m and consists of three floors.
Dr. Muhammad Shaaban Abul-Ela, Executive Director of Hospitals, pointed out that the station is the first of its kind at the level of university hospitals in all universities of the Republic, and aims to achieve self-sufficiency, as the actual production covers the consumed quantity, and saves more than 5 million pounds in expenditures per year.
