President of Beni Suef University witnesses the opening of annual scientific conference of Faculty of Social Work

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, witnessed the opening of the annual scientific conference of the Faculty of Developmental Social Work under the slogan (National Belonging - Awareness of Climate Changes). This was in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abul-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud Ibrahim, Dean of College, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel-Rahim, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Fawzy, Dean of Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Lah Hussein, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassan, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, and the Vice-Deans, Heads of Scientific departments, and faculty members.

The conference activities began with the Republican anthem, recitation of verses of the Holy Quran, and a documentary film was shown on college’s various activities, units and achievements during the academic year 2021/2022.

During his speech, Prof. Dr. Mansour stressed the importance of scientific research and the establishment of scientific conferences that the university attaches great importance to, which resulted in achieving first positions in international classifications and obtaining many research centers, as scientific research is one of the most important factors in maintaining Beni Suef University on its record numbers that it has achieved recently.

The university president’s speech included talking about the university’s vision of the most important issues and themes, including the importance of awareness of climate changes, the university’s vision in mitigating and adapting to the effects resulting from the phenomenon, and the national belonging to the youth .

Prof. Dr. Abul-Hassan Abdel-Mawgod, Dean of College, welcomed the attendees and guests of the conference. During his speech, he stressed that the new crisis that strikes our world today is the environment and climate crisis, and its dangers include rising temperatures, fires in forests, snowfall in the seas and oceans, and the extinction of many animal species, so officials in the east and west began to hold international conferences in order to address the causes of this disaster, and work hard to prevent it and criminalize its perpetrators.
At the final part of the conference, researchers and students' union were honored for participating in the conference activities.
