Beni Suef University ranked 17th locally and 1929 internationally in Webometrics classification

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that the university ranked 17 locally and 1929 internationally in the Spanish classification ''Webometrics'' for the latest report of the best universities in the world among 30 thousand universities included in the classification.

The University President stressed that the classification measures the performance of universities by web indicators for scientific research through their websites, and from the analysis of this year’s data, it is clear that there are efforts made to improve the quality of scientific researches published internationally, which led to remarkable results in international publication rates.

Prof. Dr. Mansour said that what distinguishes Beni Suef University is the presence of new faculties and institutes specialized in modern and interdisciplinary science, and that the university spares no effort in taking all measures that would improve its position and raise its rank in international classifications.

Prof. Dr. Sama Al-Daq, Director of International Classification Office at university, indicated that this achievement is a result of the policy adopted by the university to encourage scientific research, raise and build the capacities of young researchers, as well as reflecting the university's special care for scientific research by providing a distinguished educational and research environment to achieve progress at the Arab and international levels. The goal is at all Arab and international levels, and to support the university’s competitive capabilities among other universities.
