Beni Suef University ranks fifth locally and 201-250 globally according to the British Times classification

Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the university ranked fifth locally, and 201-250 globally, according to the results of the British Times Higher Education 2022 classification of young universities, as Beni Suef University was included among 17 Egyptian universities in this classification; which is based on five main indicators that include a number of detailed sub-criteria in the areas of: education (the educational environment is 30%); Research (volume of published researches, income from scientific researches and reputation by 30%); Citations (research effect 30%); International Relations (faculty members, students and researches 7.5%); and industry income (transfer of knowledge from innovations and patents by 2.5%).
Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan said that Beni Suef University was distinguished this year by the increase in the number of published researches compared to last year, high qualitative citation rates, and the increase in the number of international students compared to last year, stressing that the university has maintained the same values ??in the international relations standard, and the distinction of Beni University Suef, with the presence of new faculties and institutes specialized in interdisciplinary and modern science, has led to an increase in the number of faculty members inside the university compared to last year, as well as an increase in the number of females in the number of students admitted to the university.
According to the analysis of this year's data, it is clear that the efforts made to improve the quality of scientific research published internationally have led to remarkable results in international publication rates.
Dr. Sama El-Daq, Director of International Classification Office at Beni Suef University, emphasized the efforts of researchers in addition to the university’s care for them, encouraging them to do scientific researches, urging them to publish and overcoming any difficulties they might face in publishing, and Dr. Mansour Hassan, president of the university, was keen to advance scientific research and work to make the university a research one.
