President of Beni Suef University announces the launch of the first experimental use of the digital identity system for students

Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today the launch of the first experimental use and operation of the digital identity system for university students using smart cards “Proximity” to enter students inside the university campus with a highly secured electronic system, as part of the university’s direction to automate all procedures for students faculty and staff members.
The President of the University was accompanied during the launch of the trial run, Dr. Fatima Hassan, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Gamal Abdel Rahman, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mumtaz Hegab, General Coordinator of Digital Transformation, and Dr. Karim Ahmed, supervisor of the software unit, and Professor Mohamed Salim, Secretary General of the University.
The President of the University explained that the digital identity system allows those in charge of administrative security to see all the data of the student as soon as he passes in front of the electronic reader at the university gate. Designing and developing software, which enhances the value of the university’s human cadres in various areas of digital transformation.
Dr. Mumtaz Hijab pointed out that the digital identity system for students aims to organize and complete work in an innovative and flexible way, in addition to securing students’ “cards” and protecting them from fraud, and facilitating the task of identifying the student at the university gates and student affairs offices.
It is worth mentioning that the President of the University directed his thanks and appreciation to the university’s digital transformation coordinator, the unit’s supervisor and all the work team of the Software Design and Development Unit and the Unit for Printing Digital Identity Cards of the unit for their tangible efforts during that period.
