Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced today that a research project, at the Faculty of Science, on nanometric tubes production from natural minerals and using them in water treatment has won a financing of 200 thousand pounds from the Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority. This was during his reception of the research team, which includes Dr. Mustafa Abu Khadra, the major researcher, and Dr. Mohamed Hamdi, a researcher at the Faculty of Science, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hanan Suleiman, Dean of the Faculty.
The university president explained that the project serves the research plan of the state and the university in finding efficient and simple methods for treating water, depending on our national capabilities. He emphasized that the Materials Technology and Applications Laboratory has an effective role in the field of minerals, as the research team contributed to publishing more than 30 researches so far during the current year 2020.
For his part, the major researcher pointed out that the project is a quantum leap in the fields of applied minerals because it includes the cheap and simplified production of advanced types of nanometric tubes, depending on the Egyptian mineral wealth.
