The Art Sector committee of the Supreme Council of Universities approved on the start of study at Archaeology Department, Faculty of Arts, Beni Suef University from the next academic year 2016/2017, the committee includes Dr. / Atef Mansour, Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology, University of Fayoum, Dr. / Amany Mohammed, Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology, University of Aswan.
Prof.Dr. / Amin Lotfy, President of University emphasized the continuation of implementation of the strategic plan established for the University towards the use of system of establishing new colleges that benefit Beni Suef community and other provinces and the establishment of the Department of Archaeology, as the section grants the graduate First: BA in Ancient Egyptian Archaeology, Second: Bachelor's degree in Islamic Archaeology.
