First Training Day Entitled: “Quality as an Approach to Institutional Development – Towards Building a Sustainable Quality System”
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Tarek Ali, President of Beni Suef University, and Prof. Dr. Khaled Al-Nesr, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the same University, a training meeting was held with Heads of Academic Departments and Course Coordinators.
The session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Nermeen Atef El-Shimy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and External Reviewer at the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. The training aimed to raise awareness of the importance of implementing quality standards and their impact on the educational and research processes, community engagement, and the administrative system within the Faculty, as well as the resulting positive effects on students, faculty members, graduates, and administrative staff.
Course coordinators were also trained on how to prepare course specifications in accordance with the new templates issued by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. It was agreed to hold weekly meetings to initiate the implementation of quality standards activities and to provide technical support to the committees affiliated with the Quality Assurance Unit.
The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Khaled Ali Al-Nesr, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Dr. Taghreed Nabil, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Lillian Naguib, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit; and Associate Prof. Dr. Asmaa Alaa, Deputy Director of the Unit.
