Scientific Day of the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontics

Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Fathallah, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ziada, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in cooperation with the Faculty's Continuing Education Unit, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nabil, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Mona Issa, Head of the Conservative Treatment Department, and Dr. Abeer Fikry, Director of the Dental Administration at the Beni Suef Health Directorate, the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontics held its scientific day on Sunday, February 16, 2025, under the title
"INNOVATIVE APPROACHES IN ORAL MEDICINE AND PER-IMPLANTITIS"
With a Grand Round (Clinical Session)
led by Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Abdel Qawi, Acting Head of the Department, and attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Ebtehal Mohamed Moawad and Assistant Professor Dr. Marwa Tawfik

The scientific day included several lectures and participation from students, teaching assistants, and deputies in the department.

Dr. Reham El-Banna, an instructor in the department, opened the day with a lecture entitled "Per-implantitis... The Concepts."
Asst. Prof. Dr. Iman Magdy also gave a lecture titled "TELE MEDICINE IN ORAL MEDICINE."

The best research conducted by the third year of the one-year diagnostic course was presented, under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Marwa Mohamed Tawfik. The participating students' research titles included the following: "Microbiological tests in the diagnosis of periodontal diseases"
"AI IN ORAL MEDICINE."

The day concluded with a presentation of outstanding cases diagnosed and treated by the department during the recent Grand Round, which is held periodically within the department. This time, the presentation was held during the scientific day
