Medical convoy

The College of Dentistry continues its active and ongoing participation in the initiative of His Excellency the President of the Republic, "A New Beginning for Human Development."

Under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, a comprehensive medical development convoy was held today, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, for the village of Anfasat Al-Wasiti, with the participation of a team from the College of Dentistry and their colleagues from various university colleges
The Faculty of Dentistry participated under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed Fathallah Shawky, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Ziada, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, through the Faculty’s Medical Convoys Committee, headed by Dr. Sherine Shaaban, Lecturer in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Head of the Convoys Committee, and with the active participation of a team of resident doctors and interns Patients were examined, initial diagnoses were made, and cases were referred to various departments within the college's clinics. Awareness of oral and dental health care was also raised. It's worth noting that more than 52 cases of various ages were examined, necessary medications were prescribed, and cases requiring therapeutic intervention were referred to the college's various clinics for follow-up
