and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdel Latif Hesham Abdel Latif, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Rumaili, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs
The Department of Agricultural Chemistry, in cooperation with the Agricultural Research and Products Center, organized a course on the detergents and disinfectants manufacturing technology during the period from September 17 to 18, 2024.The training was conducted on the first day by Prof. Dr. Amani Basyouni and Dr. Iman Abbas, and on the second day by Dr. Mustafa Abdel Moneim.
Professor Dr. Abdel Latif Hesham, Dean of the Faculty, explained that implementing these courses comes within the state plan to create new job opportunities by training youth in manufacturing detergents and disinfectants to enable them to start small and medium projects in this field.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Rumaili, the vice dean for community service and environmental development affairs, also stressed the need for more of these courses, which serving the Beni Suef community to increase the efficiency of the human resource.
Professor Dr. Amany Basyouni, Head of the Department of Agricultural Chemistry, explained that the trainees were trained during the two days on the practical manufacture of Dettol, liquid soap, Phenic, chlorine and disinfectant alcohol in the chemistry laboratory and manufacturing unit.
Dr. Khamis Imam, Director of the Agricultural Research and Products Center, added that the center is about to implement several courses in cooperation with the various scientific departments at the faculty, focusing on practical training in various fields of small and medium projects, such as the fields of animal and poultry production, food industries, and the field of medicinal and aromatic plants.
