Within the framework of holding the Fifth International Conference of the Environment at Beni Suef University under the title “Creating green areas,” under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, and the presidency of Prof. Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of the University for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Abdel Gaid, Dean of the College of Earth Science, Prof. Dr. Safia Muhammad, Vice President of the College for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, the College of Earth Science participated in the presentation activities of the conference through Prof. Dr. Fathi Abu Al-Saud, Head of the Department of Water Geology and Environment, presented a lecture entitled Sustaining water sources through recycling wastewater, in which he discussed the causes of the problem and solutions and linked them to the sustainable development goals, Egypt’s Vision 2030, and the state’s efforts in the field of sustainability of water sources and ways to recycle them through the implementation of many million stations for drinking water, wastewater treatment, and recycling agricultural drainage for agricultural purposes, as well as real projects and applied research carried out by the Department of Water Geology and Environment, and also developing some recommendations for preserving the environment and sustaining water sources.
