"Types of Intellectual Property and How to Write a Patent" Symposium at the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology, Beni Suef University

The Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology at Beni Suef University, in cooperation with the Technology Transfer and Marketing Office (TICO) and the Entrepreneurship Club, organized Seminar entitled "Types of Intellectual Property and How to Write a Patent".
Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, said that the symposium comes within the framework of the university's keenness to provide an opportunity for its students to learn how to register patents in the Egyptian Patent Office of the Academy of Scientific Research, through the University's Technology Transfer and Marketing Office, referring to the university's permanent support for inventor students and linking them to the labor market. locally and internationally and encourage them to market their innovations while preserving their intellectual property locally and internationally.
The President of the University confirmed that the Technology Transfer and Marketing Office (TICO) is one of the most important projects of the Academy of Scientific Research due to its role in activating scientific research and linking it to industry and supporting innovation and technology in accordance with the national vision of Egypt, explaining that the symposium seeks to present the sectors of grants that have been announced and opportunities for financing graduation projects and manufacturing prototypes for students to motivate them to invent and participate in national and international exhibitions in which the university participated before, such as the Geneva Innovation
Exhibition in Switzerland, Cairo Innovates and the Digital Homeland Exhibition.
Dr. Osama Shalabiya, Dean of the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology, explained that the university attaches great importance to inventor students under the Mansour Hassan, President of the University, and his promotion of the rewards obtained by those who register his patent with a certificate approved by the Egyptian Invention Office, and his keenness to support innovative projects for students and provide all the necessary capabilities to discover talented and inventors from the university in general
and the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology in particular.
Dr. Mohab indicated that the office conducts competitions and free courses for students in intellectual property and provides international courses for them, such as those held by the university in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Workshops and entrepreneurship camps are also organized on business studies and finding innovative ideas and solutions to solve problems or the challenges facing society, explaining the types of intellectual property to students such as patents, programs, industrial models, copyrights, etc., and advising students on the importance of choosing a problem and finding smart innovative solutions needed by society and the Egyptian market to be the nucleus of a startup company.
