President of Beni Suef University witnesses the graduation projects of the first batch of the Faculty of special needs Sciences

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, witnessed today, the first graduation projects for students of the Faculty of special need Sciences and the issuance of the first graduation certificate for students. The activities included holding an exhibition of students ’graduation projects in the various departments, which include the Department of Mental , Hearing , Visual Disability , Learning Difficulties, Autism, and Speech in the presence of the Dean of the College, the vice deans and a group of faculty members, workers and students
Dr. Mansour listened to the students who reviewed examples of their projects, such as the application of the Egyptian currency reader for the blind prepared by students of the Department of Visual , as well as some models and projects for the blind and visually Disability, and the project for students of the Department of Mental Disability, the comprehensive development program Portage which is used as a diagnostic tool for all aspects of deficiencies in the personality of the mentally disabled child and the development of aspects of the measured image in the areas of child development, social upbringing, linguistic, motor, cognitive and self-help fields , and models for some special software to treat and improve speech problems for people prepared by students of the Department of Speech, in addition to designing a "robot" that teaches deaf colors
Under the slogan "A tree for every disabled ", 20 trees and 50 seedlings were planted to plant the faculty and pay attention to increasing the green area
It is worth noting that the Faculty of special need sciences is the first college specialized in this field at the level of the Middle East and the Arab world, and includes 6 departments, of which about 84 divisions are aimed at preparing a graduate teacher and a psychologist who is familiar with all the requirements of the profession, and the latest scientific experiences related to people with disabilities in its various specializations and in all Modern technologies that make him a distinguished teacher and specialist and qualify him to work in the field of special education, whether in schools, psychiatric hospitals, or private associations interested in people with special needs inside and outside Egypt.
