The Faculty of Special Needs Science is an educational institution of higher education and scientific research in the field of special needs, to achieve the mission of the university in accordance with the religious and moral traditions and values through delivering the best educational services to students in the field of special education at the undergraduate and graduate studies for gaining required skills in this specialty through education programs according to the local needs and global standards. Preparing efficient manpower needed in the fields of special needs. Meeting the needs of community institutions from qualified cadres academically and professionally to provide services for people with special needs. Contributing in the provision of guiding and counseling services for people with special needs and their families. Employing the resources of the Faculty of Special Needs Science and its research abilities and advisory experience to contribute in solving the problems of categories of special needs in the community. Promoting scientific research in the areas of special education by conducting advanced scientific researches in the field of prevention, diagnosis and treatment for people with special needs performed by faculty members and researchers at the master's and doctoral degrees.
