Waleed M. A. El Rouby

Lecturer,  Materials Science and Nanotechnology Department, Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Advanced Sciences -  Beni Suef University.

He has earned his Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry  (2004), and his Master's degree in Physical Chemistry (Nano-science) - Beni Suef  University (2008). His Ph.D was in Physical Chemistry (Nano-science) in November 2011- Beni Suef University.

 He is joining now Vigo University - Spain for postdoctoral. His experience covers a wide range of environmental and recent energy storage applications of nanomaterials.

His research interests focus on carbon materials (graphene and CNTs), chemical method synthesis, CVD synthesis, metal oxide nanoparticles, preparation, characterization, and their applications.

Dr. Waleed is a PI for three projects, the first one is funded by the Science and Technology Development fund (STDF) in Egypt, the second is a collaborative project (Egypt-South Africa), funded by the Ministry of Scientific Research (Egypt) and National Research Fund (South Africa). The third is funded by Beni Suef University.

 He is a team member of the Egypt-US project entitled “Plasma-Assisted Chemical Vapor Synthesis Versus Conventional Synthesis Methods of Advanced Ceramic Nano powders” funded by STDF (Egypt) and NSF (USA).

Also, Dr. Waleed is a research team member in another three projects. He has about ten international peer-reviewed scientific papers, and about the same number of participations in international conferences. He has participated in organizing several international conferences and workshops. He is a reviewer for more than five highly cited international journals.
