Regulations
1 - The study depends on the undergraduate program on the system of credit hours Credit Hours, and the hour is a theoretical lecture for one hour per week and equivalent to two hours per week for laboratories, applications, workshops and training and the semester consists of sixteen weeks.
2 - The duration of study to obtain a bachelor's degree in media four years of university, and the university year consists of two semesters according to the calendar adopted by the University of Beni Suef, and between the two seasons holiday half-year and duration of two weeks. An intensive summer may be offered with a maximum of two courses (six credit hours).
3- Bachelor's degree required to pass 132 credit hours distributed over the four years and eight semesters with an average of 33 credit hours per academic year. Each course has three credit hours with a total of 44 academic courses.
4 - Undergraduate students are classified into four levels according to the number of credit hours acquired by the student as follows:
(A) The first level when the student attends college.
(B) The second level after the student passes 33 credit hours.
(C) the third level after the student passes 66 credit hours.
(D) The fourth level after passing the student 99 credit hours.
The student must register the courses at the beginning of each semester according to the approved calendar at the Faculty of Information - Beni Suef University. The maximum student quorum is 18 credit hours per week (six courses). The quorum may be increased to 21 hours per week for the purpose of graduating in the same semester Minimum 9 hours of study.
1- If the student obtains a cumulative average of less than (2) at the end of the semester, he / she will be given a second academic warning with a reduction of the academic load to 9 credit hours (three courses) until the cumulative average is increased to at least 2.
2 - The student is committed to attendance at theoretical lectures and practical applications of courses restricted by a minimum of 75%. If the percentage of absence of the student to 10% of the number of hours theoretical and practical to give him a first warning and if the percentage of absence 20% is directed a second warning. If the percentage of the absence of the student is 25% or more of the number of theoretical and practical hours, it is prohibited to enter the final exam. The student shall be considered as a teacher in the course of the course and a score of (F) in his / her academic record and quarterly and cumulative grade.
3 - deletion, addition and withdrawal from the courses:
The student may delete and add at least three courses (3-6 credit hours) according to the academic calendar (the end of the second week of the study). The last date for the deletion of a course without a failure is the end of the fourth week of the study. Certified or assessed. In the case of withdrawal from any course after the specified dates, the student shall be considered as a rapporteur in the course. The course shall be recorded in the academic register and shall be evaluated. This course shall be calculated and evaluated when calculating the student's quarterly and cumulative average.
9. Incomplete estimate:
The student is required to attend the final exam. The student may be enrolled in his / her incomplete academic record if he / she fails to take the final exam with a compelling excuse accepted by the college board. And if he fails to take the exam, he is entitled to add it if the exam takes place during the period of the addition provided that the course is subject to study in the same semester. If the student stops his registration in a semester and has to remove the (incomplete) position in this chapter, he must remove this situation in the first semester to be re-registered, and the student's application to monitor the (incomplete) position must be regular in the study His absence did not exceed 25% and his total score in the semester work for this course is not less than 60%.
10. Suspension of registration:
Students may suspend their enrollment during the first semester and for a period not exceeding three consecutive semesters or two consecutive semesters due to an acceptable excuse approved by the College Council.
Calendar and exams
1. The academic record of the student represents the document containing the student's achievement, including the courses that completed the study and the estimates obtained in each course, the quarterly average and the cumulative average.
2 - The quarterly average is calculated by combining the number of points obtained by the student in the courses that have been studied and divided by the number of courses in the semester. The GPA is calculated according to the average of the grades in all the previous classes.
3 - Each course is allocated 100 degrees distributed as follows: 50 degrees for the quarterly work distributed 20 degrees to attend 10 degrees for participation and the work of the semester decided by the professor of the course and 20 degrees to mid-term test in addition to 50 degrees for the final exam. The College Council may adopt other criteria for the distribution of the grades of some courses of practical practical nature.

The first honorary degree is awarded to students who have fulfilled all graduation requirements at a cumulative average of 3.6 and above and second honors for students with a cumulative average of 3.4 - less than 3.6. The student has not been previously enrolled in any course during the entire period of study.
Academic Advising
The College determines for each group of students an academic mentor from the faculty members who performs the tasks of guiding the student and directing him to choose the courses that suit his abilities and readiness. The role of the academic advisor is extended to the student from the time he or she attends the college until graduation. The role of the instructor is not limited to directing the student during the registration period, but rather extends the study of the student's psychological and social status and follows up the student's progress and his ability to attain academic achievement. Study. The opinion of the academic advisor is considered advisory, and the student is responsible for the courses in which he chooses to register at his will.
Course Registration:
1- The minimum number of credit hours for registration in each semester shall be 9 hours, with three courses, and the maximum number of 18 credit hours by six courses.
2. The student withdraws a registration card from the Department of Academic Guidance.
3 - The student goes to the academic advisor to help him to choose the courses that fit him and record these decisions in the card and signed by the guide.
4 - The student then goes to the registration offices on the academic schedule, which contains the decisions that were recorded and their dates.
5 - The student should engage with his academic advisor before embarking on the deletions, additions and withdrawals from the courses.
Division of courses
The study is divided into two stages:
The first stage: the duration of two semesters in which the student receives some general decisions and requirements of the college and the entrances of disciplines in the three scientific departments.
The second stage is six semesters, where specialization begins in one of the three sections (journalism, radio and television, public relations and advertising) as of the third semester and each department to set the conditions and courses eligible for admission after approval by the college council.
A Bachelor's Degree in Media is required in one of the specializations of the College to pass 132 credit hours distributed as follows:
1. General requirements 8 courses x 3 = 24 credit hours
2. College requirements: 14 courses x 3 = 42 credit hours
3. Compulsory requirements for Section 15 courses x 3 = 45 credit hours
4. Elective requirements for Section 5 Courses x 3 = 15 credit hours
5- Free courses 2 Course x 3 = 6 credit hours
