Academic Staff Appointment Procedures

Teaching Assistant (Mo’id)

  • Approval of the department council for nomination.
  • Approval of the faculty council for nomination.
  • Results of the most recent two consecutive academic years to determine the highest grade.
  • Submission of the nomination request for presentation to the university council.
  • Original Bachelor's degree certificate.
  • Original birth certificate.
  • Academic transcript for five years.
  • Original military service completion certificate (for males) or public service certificate (for females).
  • Six recent personal photos.
  • Copy of the national ID card.
  • Completion of the medical examination.

Assistant Lecturer

  • Original Master’s degree certificate.
  • Request for financial grade allocation from the university administration.
  • Application for appointment as an Assistant Lecturer.
  • Completion of five faculty development training courses.
  • Approval of the department council for appointment.
  • Approval of the faculty council for appointment.
  • Submission of the appointment request for presentation to the Vice President of the University.
  • Approval by the University President.

Lecturer

  • Original Doctoral degree certificate.
  • Request for financial grade allocation from the university administration.
  • Application for appointment as a Lecturer.
  • Completion of five faculty development training courses.
  • Approval of the department council for appointment.
  • Approval of the faculty council for appointment.
  • Submission of the appointment request for presentation to the Vice President of the University.
  • Approval of the university council for appointment.

Associate Professor

  • Submission of research papers to the Permanent Promotion Committee.
  • Request for the collective evaluation report.
  • Request for financial grade allocation from the university administration.
  • Application for appointment as an Associate Professor.
  • Completion of five faculty development training courses.
  • Approval of the department council for appointment.
  • Approval of the faculty council for appointment.
  • Submission of the appointment request for presentation to the Vice President of the University.
  • Approval of the university council for appointment.

Professor

  • Submission of research papers to the Permanent Promotion Committee.

  • Application for appointment as a Professor.
  • Completion of five faculty development training courses.
