To become a veterinarian, you must get the veterinary Doctor degree. To do this, you must follow the curriculum of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The degree course is divided over five years.

The curriculum for the first year consists essentially of basic courses in physics, chemistry, mathematics, biostatistics and biology.
A practical training in general English is associated with it and continues throughout the 5 years of study.
The student must undertake an immersion course in a compulsory animal environment during the holiday period
In the 2nd and 3rd years, subjects clearly oriented towards the knowledge of the "normal" animal, such as anatomy, embryology, histology, biochemistry, physiology, animal genomics, ethnography , The appreciation of domestic animals, general microbiology and immunology, and animal ethology. There is also an introduction to veterinary public health.
The aim of the 5-year program is to train students in the preparation, diagnosis and treatment (preventive and curative) of infectious (viral or bacterial), parasitic, nutritional, metabolic, genetic or surgical pets (dogs, cats , Horses, birds, etc.) or production (cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, rabbits, chickens, fish). The approach is individual (the sick animal) or collective (the sick flock).
